Dear Mr Oakes,
I am writing this letter of appreciation to personally thank you for your assistance you gave, when you helped PC Barry Jones, by picking open a safe within a few minutes.
The safe had been seized by us and it belonged to a suspect arrested for a sexual offence and it was imperative that the officer gained entry into the safe.
Once again many thanks for your assistance it was much appreciated. I also know you have helped us on other occasions, without charge for which I am very grateful. It shows us the true spirit of community action, without which we would struggle to police.
